Our Programs
Behavioral Strides Therapy has multiple programs in place to provide services for families in all situations and environments. Programs currently include In-home therapy, Early Intervention and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy in HOme & Community
We use ABA principles to teach clients diagnosed with autism or related disorders, to successfully learn important skills that will enrich the quality of their lives, in a scientific and measurable way.Based on an assessment to determine your child’s needs, our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) recommend customized treatment plans that maximize your child’s progress. The ABA therapy plans typically recommended are either focused or comprehensive treatment.
ABA Services In School
We provide services in the school environment to help your child become more independent in that setting while helping reduce interfering behaviors. Our therapist will utilize ABA strategies to help promote: social interactions, academic participation, appropriate in-class behavior, foster independence in daily routines, and overall attending to group instructions. The therapist on your child’s team will regularly consult with the classroom teacher to ensure that strategies are being used. By systematically fading our support our goal will be to have your child participate in the school environment independently without assistance.
Parent Training
Our therapy sessions include parent training. During our training sessions one of the BCBA’s from our team will collaborate with you on specific questions and topics that you need support with or want to learn more about. The BCBA will train you or other family members so as a team we can all be consistent with promoting an environment that will instrumental in your child’s success.
Parent Advocacy
Behavioral Strides Therapy is a big believer in providing support and education to our caregivers. On going trainings are provided to caregivers. Our BCBA’s are also able to attending IEP meetings to discuss and compare goals allowing collaborating with the school teams. Our BCBA’s are always more than happy to meet with any other team members such as OT, PT, Speech, etc. The BCBA is also able to conduct classroom observations and provide school observation reports to the family and school times.
